The chessmen are hand painted pewter by Italian artisans with felted bottoms. They are heavy in weight. The gold side of the chessmen are plated in 24K gold.
The chess board is also hand made by Italian artisans and crafted from bird's-eye maple & green érable wood. The squares are individually inlaid, hand buffed with a matte finish, taking several days to complete. There is a storage compartment for your chessmen lined with a gorgeous ivory velour.
